Ohhh herrrro

It's been a while. Far too long actually. Not a whole lot of new stuff going on in my life. School is going good, so there are no complaints there. I will say that I am officially in 5 bands right now (xBobbyx, Rats Like Salt, Antpile, no-named hardcore band, and Milk Steak). The first two are very serious joke bands and the last three are bands that I've been jamming out with. Antpile is kind of poppy and screamo-ish. The hardcore band sounds very heavy/good. Finally, Milk Steak is a band that features me on guitar (surprising, I know) and my friend Dean on drums. It sounds like a happier and not nearly as good version of Modest Mouse. I'll keep you updated on all of those. Until next time, go mosh.

Algernon Cadwallader- Hot Green (plus me rambling)

http://www.mediafire.com/?0m2mzdyyd3m

The new EP from one of my favorite bands right now. This band makes you want to go outside and just do something fun. Shot out to Lauryn from Sauce Vegas on this one. She will appreciate this more than most.

On a different note, I hate the cold weather. I don't see how anyone could honestly enjoy it. My basement feels like Hoth right now.

On an even more different note, why is racism still going on in the world? It's ridiculous. I guess it is just one of those things that will never die out, and that is unfortunate. Also, since when has the use of the "N-word" been funny? I still find it immature and full-on ignorant when someone uses it in a joke or a real-life situation. The word has traveled through slavery and through the civil rights era as a derogatory word, but why do people still use it? It shows racism and lack of intelligence.

See ya. I need to update this more.

Check out my other blog as well.

Converge- When Forever Comes Crashing

http://www.mediafire.com/?2w2wnwzzjgd

I'm sure most of you figured I would post Converge on my blog because I listen to them so much, and you were correct. This is the cd "When Forever Comes Crashing". It was released in the same year as "Petitioning The Empty Sky" (which I will probably post at some point). If you haven't already gotten into this band, please do. I feel like there is a Converge album for every music lover out there. They've progressed so much as a band and I will enjoy everything they put out. Download this and go ahead and call "Home Makeover" because you're going to need a new house.

At The Drive-in

http://www.mediafire.com/?nj2tznmfxwd

I wish I could be as cool as Geoff and Tommy and figure out how to post links and show the album thumbnail and everything, but I guess I'm dumb I guess.

This is "in/casino/out" by At The Drive-in. It wasn't as big as the ground-breaking/awesome "Relationship of Command", but this cd has alot of melodic parts to go along with some ridiculously sweet tempo changes. I've love this band for a while and they will never get old. Oh and The Mars Volta needs to break-up so that there can be a reunion tour soon.

In the beginning...

My name is Brian McGhee and I finally decided to create a blog. Due to me having an 18th Century computer, I probably won't be able to post too much music on here. I will be able to share some of the stuff that is going on in my life and the life of others though. I also want to discuss what I'm listening to and what others are listening to. The beauty of a blog is that there are no restrictions on what you can talk about on here, so give me ideas and help make this blog a ton of fun.
